The core functionality of Stendhal revolves around revamping the graphical user interfaces for Book & Quills, Books, Anvils, and Signs. Players will discover quick access to a variety of powerful tools, such as the ability to import and export books and signs directly to and from their disk, allowing for easy backup and transfer of content. The mod also facilitates copying entire pages, books, or signs with a single click, and provides options to clear content effortlessly. Furthermore, Stendhal introduces legacy colors and one-click access to a wide array of Unicode characters, enabling players to add unique visual flair to their creations and communications. The in-game chat also benefits from a quick access bar for Unicode characters, and players can now customize nametags with these characters in any Anvil, adding a personal touch to their items and interactions. This mod is exclusively compatible with the Fabric mod loader and is designed to run on the client-side only, meaning it is required on the player's machine but not on the server. Stendhal supports Minecraft versions 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, as well as versions 26.1.2 and 26.2. It's important to note that while the mod is client-side, its effects on books and signs will be visible to all players, regardless of whether they have the mod installed, as it leverages hidden vanilla features without causing breaking changes. The mod is not supported on servers, and no Forge version is planned, with an alternative suggested for Forge users.
