Homeschool Hub Launches: Symmetry and Self Portraits

The Community Library in Cobleskill has launched its monthly Homeschool Hub program aimed at elementary students. This new initiative mixes art, science, and technology, focusing on symmetry through Minecraft-inspired self portraits.

Library Assistant Courtney Little led the inaugural session with a combination of readings from Seeing Symmetry by Loreen Leedy, discussions, and guided tutorials. Attendees explored symmetry and asymmetry concepts in a creative format. Each session, held the third Friday of the month, integrates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning with everyday applications.
