The World’s First Minecraft Hotel Set to Open in London

For avid fans of the iconic video game Minecraft, a new venture promises an immersive experience like no other. The Minecraft World Hotel is set to open its doors in London next year, providing a unique accommodation option that brings the beloved game to life.

A Themed Retreat for Gamers

Located at Chessington World of Adventures, the Minecraft World Hotel will feature nearly 70 themed rooms designed to encapsulate the various biomes and iconic elements from the game. Guests can expect to be transported into environments filled with vibrant colors, recognizable characters, and the playful materials that define Minecraft's aesthetic. The hotel will span four floors, comprising 20 premium rooms and 49 standard rooms, catering to fans of all ages.

Dining and Entertainment Options

In addition to themed accommodations, the Minecraft World Hotel will house an underwater-themed restaurant that draws inspiration from the game’s ocean biomes. This dining experience aims to enhance the immersive atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy meals surrounded by the enchanting underwater world that Minecraft enthusiasts adore. There will also be a bar themed after the ‘Woodland Mansion’, providing a relaxed setting for visitors to unwind after a day of exploration.

A Broader Minecraft Experience

The hotel is part of a larger £50 million project that includes the Minecraft World attraction, which will feature the world’s first Minecraft-themed rollercoaster, titled ‘Escape the Nether’. This attraction is designed to offer a fully immersive experience, where fans can engage with the game in new and exciting ways. Angela Jobson, SVP of Global Brand at Merlin Entertainments, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the intention to create an authentic world where families can play, explore, and craft together.

A Unique Opportunity for Fans

The Minecraft World Hotel represents a significant milestone in themed entertainment, providing a dedicated space for fans to engage with the game beyond the screen. The Minecraft World Hotel is set to open at Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.
