Minecraft snapshot 25w41a introduces the new Minecraft features, including the Mounts of Mayhem’s spear, nautilus mount, and the addition of zombie horses. This snapshot is available now for the Java Edition, while Bedrock players will need to await a future preview build.

New Features

The nautilus mount is a neutral, aquatic mob found across ocean biomes. It feeds on pufferfish, can be tamed, and allows underwater travel without needing to surface for air, due to its "Breath of the Nautilus" effect. Nautiluses can wear various armor types including copper, golden, iron, diamond, and netherite.

The new spear weapon comes in multiple materials: wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite, with differing attack speeds. It features a basic jab and a charge attack, which increases damage based on movement speed. A notable addition is the "lunge" enchantment, which propels the player forward.

Additional Updates

Zombie horses, previously unavailable in survival mode, now spawn naturally. An added variety, the zombie nautilus, includes hostile riders that players can dismount to potentially claim their mounts.
