The Mounts of Mayhem snapshot for Minecraft introduces the Nautilus, a new tameable mob available in various ocean biomes. This change allows players to enhance their underwater exploration experience.
Details and Taming Process
The Nautilus can be found in Deep Ocean, Cold Ocean, Frozen Ocean, Lukewarm Ocean, and Deep Frozen Ocean biomes. To tame this unique mob, players need to feed it a pufferfish, commonly found in Lukewarm and Deep Lukewarm Oceans.
Once tamed, players can ride the Nautilus using a saddle, crafted from three pieces of leather and one iron ingot. Riding provides the 'Breath of the Nautilus' effect, allowing underwater exploration without a Potion of Water Breathing.
Behavior and Additional Features
The Nautilus is neutral by nature and will not attack unless provoked. It retaliates with a dash attack when threatened. Breeding Nautiluses requires feeding them any type of fish, which puts them in love mode, resulting in a baby Nautilus.
