Minecraft Blast Playtests Begin for Mobile Puzzle Game
Minecraft Blast, a new mobile game by Mojang and King, is being tested on Apple devices in Malaysia to gather user feedback.
Minecraft Blast, a new mobile puzzle game developed by Mojang in collaboration with King Studios, is now in playtesting on Apple devices in Malaysia.
Versions & loaders
The game is a free-to-play match-style puzzle where players match colored blocks to complete objectives. Minecraft Blast incorporates boosts and power-ups, enabling players to unlock themed areas and build structures inspired by Minecraft. Developed by Mojang with King Studios, the game echoes design elements from Candy Crush Saga.
Performance & fixes
The current playtest is focused on collecting user feedback to refine gameplay mechanics. While the playtest is limited to Malaysia on the Apple App Store, Mojang plans to expand to additional regions and platforms in future phases. Players are reminded that any progress made during this testing phase will not transfer to the final release version.
Impact / What’s next
A separate team is working on Minecraft Blast to ensure that ongoing development does not impact the main Minecraft game updates. As the playtests progress, Mojang may adjust features based on player feedback, building up to a future global rollout. Despite being only a playtest, Minecraft Blast already showcases exciting new features for mobile gaming fans.
